From the pattern: "Package includes patterns and instructions to make four
Misses' period hats. Each hat style is available in three sizes: S - 21 1/2", M
- 22 1/2", and L - 23 1/2". All hats are lined and have purchased trims. Hats A,
B have contrast sections. Hat D has contrast lining."
My description: Another not too shabby treatment of historical hats from
Butterick. A Civil War hat remniscent of the Leghorn style, a slightly
Pre-French Revolutionary (Louis XVI) bonnet, a modification of the mob cap that
looks as though it is intended for the flappers of the 1920s and of course, the
medieval cone hat that every little girl on earth associates with Princesses!!
I can't help it - I MAKE period clothing, and I can be QUITE critical about
whether or not a pattern is period correct! I'm picky, so sue me. I also give
unsolicited advice on how to make up the pattern best for the time period. This
is intended to help beginners. I don't mean to offend, and if you know what you
are doing, or don't care - please ignore me.
Envelope kind of battered (like most of my patterns - sorry!!), but the pattern
is in un-cut pristine condition. I do NOT sell used patterns. As long as you
don't plan on framing the envelope, you shouldn't be able to complain about the
deal here [grin].
